A wedding dress should belong entirely to the person wearing it.
At PETAR, bridal begins with the individual rather than a collection. There is no prescribed style. A wedding in London or in the countryside, a grand celebration or something quietly intimate — the dress can take any direction, shaped around the person, the setting and the occasion.
The process begins with a private consultation and an initial drawing. From there, silhouette, fabric and proportion are developed together, with fittings allowing the gown to evolve on the body. Whatever the direction, every dress carries the unmistakable PETAR approach to cut, proportion and line.
The making is equally considered. Much of the gown is finished by hand, with time given to the details that cannot be rushed. Fine finishing, delicate hand sewing and careful construction allow the dress to acquire its character gradually, through the making itself.
Each gown is individually designed, cut and made in the PETAR atelier in Chelsea, London.
The result is a wedding dress with its own identity — created for one person, one occasion and one very particular moment.
