PETAR is a London atelier founded by designer and tailor Petar, whose fascination with fashion and drawing began in childhood.
From an early age, clothes were a subject of constant curiosity — their proportions, construction and the possibilities of transforming an idea on paper into something real. That early fascination developed into more than twenty years of experience in fashion, design and tailoring.
For fifteen years, Petar worked as Head Designer and Tailor at Eponine, developing his experience across couture design, pattern cutting and garment construction, while working closely with clients to create highly individual pieces.
PETAR was established from a desire to return to a more personal scale of practice: an independent atelier where design and making remain closely connected, and where every client can be involved in the development of their garment.
Based in Chelsea, the atelier creates couture, bridal, occasionwear and limited editions. Garments are designed and cut in-house, from one-off pieces developed from an initial drawing to small editions made from carefully selected fabrics.
The approach is considered rather than seasonal, with an emphasis on individuality, proportion and the character of the person wearing it.
